After such success with Structural Reflexology for Plantar Fasciitis I leapt at the chance to participate in Lisa's Fibromyalgia case study with her Standard Reflexology treatment. The difference in me from when I first started the 6 fortnightly sessions to my last session was significant. On top of Fibromyalgia I also had PTSD, so my nervous system was in a heightened state and had been for well over a year if not years. Despite trying other healing modalities I was still in fright or flight. This all started changing after the first session with reflexology. There was a continual settling over the 6 sessions, my anxiety, fatigue & brain fog all reduced. I was for the first time in over a year able to start implementing changes towards healing that I had previously simply been too exhausted to do. My pain flares became less frequent and rather than the widespread pain that comes with fibromyalgia it was more localised to structural issues, I finally have the energy & focus to address. My nervous system is now a lot more settled, with improvement to overall mood & keeping depression at bay. I’m more willing to participate in more social activities. I consider Lisa’s reflexology treatments as the most important part of my healing journey so far. It is a relief to know there is something I can do and someone to help when everything gets too much.
